Melee builds require Chance to Block and/or high Damage Reduction to work well. Builds with large Area of Effect abilities excel at slaughtering cows and are the preferred options. They can pose severe problems for melee classes- a hit-and-run tactic is not recommended as you might mistakenly tip-off more groups of Hell Bovines.Because Hell Bovines have no natural Immunities, every build can farm The Secret Cow Level.These bipedal cattle wield vicious halberds and will attack you in massive herds, but fortunately, their movement speed is moderately slow. Hell Bovines overrun this relatively small area. Though it is very weak, it does deal 50% more damage to Undead enemies. Wirt's Leg can be used as a One-Hand weapon.There you can take the portal back to Tristam and loot the leg from his find Wirt's lifeless body. If you didn't pick it up from Wirt's corpse the first time around, don't worry, all you have to do is go back to the Cairn Stones in the Stony Field. You can also obtain one from the bookcases in the Jail and Catacomb dungeons in Act I.Ī missable item during The Search for Cain quest in Act I, Wirt's Leg, is located in the upper west area of Tristam. You can purchase a Tome of Town Portal from one of the Act town's magic vendors.Note that you can't transmute them in any other part of the game, you must be inside of the Rogue Encampment for the portal to appear.Doing this will open a red portal back in Rogue Encampment, the starting town in Act I. You can unlock the Secret Cow Level by transmuting a Tome of Town Portal and Wirt's Leg in the Horadric Cube. The Secret Cow Level, also known as the Moo Moo Farm, is part of an Easter Egg quest included by Blizzard based on Diablo I's old cow level rumors.
